Tutorial for background

I've gotten alot of questions about how I did the background - color strip - so I thought I would do a quick short tutorial

Card stock Bristol Smooth                                   Card stock Water color paper

Products:

Tim Holtz Tattered Butterfly Steel Die
Tim Holtz Perspective Butterfly Stamp
Tim Holtz Field Notes Stamp
Tim Holtz Tiny Text Stamp
Archival Ink Ground espresso & Vintage Photo
Distress Oxide Spray - Vintage Photo
Distress Spray Salvaged Patina

First step:  paper, Salvage Patina Spray and brayer

I used the spray nozzle to add ink in a straight line on my work surface.   The wide the line the wider your colored strip will be.

Roll the Brayer in the ink and brayer up and down the paper as close to the same area as possible.  If you stray your strip will be wider.  You may have to re-ink and brayer several times to get the desired color.

Watercolor Paper

Bristol Smooth Paper - I rolled the brayer and the color was not dark enough for me - I added Salvaged Patina Glaze and heat embossed.  I could have added more color and brayered - but I wanted to try the glaze

Bristal Smooth Card stock - Added stamoing from Tint Text & Field Notes

Watercolor Card stock - Added stamoing from Tint Text & Field Notes.  Used Archival distress Ink to darken around the edge.

added the Tattered Butterfly Dies I made a few weeks ago

Added a few splatters with Distress Oxide Vintage Photo & Distress Ink Salvaged Patina and added the sentiments
