Floppy Latte Terrific Tuesday

Hey Yall!!!!

It's been a busy few days - making plans to move this weekend - so I've got to box up and move my entire craft room - not to mention hide and move as much as I can so my husband doesn't realize how much I really have.  LOL  I'm sure no one else has to do this.

I still had time for a couple of quick projects - a gift tag and a fall card.

The first is a gift tag - Big Hugs   -   Digi   Candy apple - mmmmmm   from Floppy Latte

I colored with alcohol markers - R43, R46, R29 & YR27 - tag made with Gumball Green cardstock - ribbon and brad from my stash.

The second is a fall card with leaves - Didi      Bag if leaves from Floppy Latte

Colored with alcohol markers -  YR23, YR12, YR27 & YG63

I used scraps to mat and add the fall leaves.

Well have a Terrific Tuesday!!!!!!!!   Happy Crafting!!!

See ya next time

Kids Challenge

Here are a few I have been working on.

This cutie is from Whimsey Doodles digitals - I colored with Copic markers and matted with some scraps I had from Stampin Up - save those scraps - I keep a box with them all and pull out when I'm doing smaller cards or adding tags.

The sweet girl is from  Sliekje Digis. If you've never been to her site, you should, she offers cute digitals for free,  Check it out     http://sliekje.blogspot.com/

I colored with Copic markers and again used a few scraps to mat.  The stripped piece was done by using the edge of Stampin Up Ink pads  and then distressing.

Copic Marker Paper

I made the background paper with a ruler and several Copic Markers.  I wanted a background that matched the flower - I made the paper with the same markers as I colored the flower. Digi from Angie's Antics.

BG09, BG01 &Y17 - Copic Markers
Tempting Turquoise & Island Indigo - Stampin Up Paper

If anyone's interested in a tutorial let me know!!

Explore

It's been a few days since I blogged, but I've been working on some new stuff.

This is a cute digital I picked up from Broken Road - Too cute "A Day at the Races"  -  I added the word Explore, because boys always like to explore.

I colored the image with Copic Markers - E04, E33, C1, C5, W1, W3, R46, BG72 & B00.  I sponged a little Ink from a Stampin Up Ink Pad Sky blue around the image and trimmed with a few scraps

This card was made for ME!  I love all the sentiments!!

The suitcase image came from Tiddly Ink.  The sentiments are an old Stampin Up set.  The clock image came from a Tim Holtz set.

I distressed the backgrounds with Tim Hold Distress Walnut, Stampin Up Early Expresso and Crumb Cake.

September Challenge

Don't forget  - Challenge

September Challenge                    Tag #SQ1963sep12

http://susieque1963.blogspot.com/2012/09/september-challenge.html

I am really into making crafting different types of background paper - normally I use solid cardstock for my backgrounds - I want to challenge you to make your own background papers.  I also like to use silhouettes with these because the background paper makes the silhouette POP.

Here are a few that I've created in the last few weeks - enjoy!!!

Post so that I can see your efforts - I always love to learn something new.

I'm adding a few new cards I have made for this challenge.

This little Beauty is from Floppy Latte "Oriental Beauty"
 http://www.floppylattedesigns.com/catalog/

The above image I distressed the background behind the silhouette with several Ink pads.

The background was made by using shaving cream and Ink refills - kinda cool, but a little messy.

What do you think?

I found these two digital's on Floppy Latte - check out their site at http://www.floppylattedesigns.com/catalog/

I colored the fairy with Copic Markers
the background of green & yellow - I used Adirondac alcohol inks in a spritzer.  The purple and green paper is from my stash of unknowns

The back ground of pinks greens & blues was made by using Adirondack Inks and a spritzer

This stampset is from Stampin Up - Christmas deer - The immediate background behind the deer is done by distressing white card stock with an inkpad.  The main background is a technique called pillowtop -- I have a tutorial for this on my blog.

Happy stamping!!!!!   Please post a comment with your blog so I can see your cards!!!

Surprise!

Surprise!  We have two guest designer's this week.  Our second guest designer is Susan Coonrod. Susan made three amazing items with one of the images.  She made a book mark, card & gift tag. It is a wonderful gift set.  The images are all different sizes.  This is why Susan loves digital images so much. You can make them any size that you need vs. the traditional stamped image that only stamps in one size.

A description of Susan's projects in her own words.

"I lightly distressed with a Sky Blue Stamp pad from StaminUp and distressed the edges with a dark brown stamp pad.

I usually don't used a lot of sentiments, because when I'm in the mood for card making, I make a large amount of them and then use for all occasions.  I pull the one out I want to use and hand write a personal sentiment inside.  I think this makes it more personal."

COPIC PENS: BV00, YR02, B24, Y06, RV02, YG45 & BG72

Her bio:

"I have been scrap booking for about 10 years, but became intrigued with card making about 5 years ago.  I have started using digital images in the last two months and began blogging about the same time. For more of my cards and tutorials check out my blog -  http://susieque1963.blogspot.com/.  I have recently been asked to be on the Floppy Latte Design Team. "

All three are from a John Martin Child's magazine from 1929.  I adjusted this one so you could add your own verse or sentiment.
Won't you take the challenge and make something beautiful!

Sorry for the delay on the Halloween cards - had a bit of trouble with my computer, but after two trips to the Radio shack I'm up and running again.  I made several cards using the

The New September Exclusive Kit -All about Halloween! from Floppy Latte

http://www.floppylattedesigns.com/catalog/

This is my favorite - I colored with Copic markers and used paper from my stash of unknown.

Here are a couple more - I've used my Copic markers so much they're beginning to dry out - so please forgive that they aren't as blended  as they should be.

Love this cat - I distressed around the edges.

Happy Stamping!!!
