Shaving Cream Technique Tutorial

I really love making my own background papers for my cards, and this technique is one of my favorites.  It is a little messy but well worth it.

Stampin Up Blg

Back ground - Certainly Celery, Not Quite Navy, Pool Party & Crushed Curry refill inks from Stampin UP

Butterfly from Stampin Up - I colored butterfly with Copic Markers -  BG15 BG72, BG01, B000, B13 & Y19

You will need:

Shaving cream
paperplate and paper napkins
Que Tips
Cardstock or Watercolor paper
Ink refills 3 or 4 (I used Certainly Celery, Not Quite Navy, Pool Party & Crushed Curry from Stampin UP)

Spray shaving cream on the plate and spread out.

Using the Ink refills, drop all over the shaving cream, don't be stingy with it.

Use Que-Tip or any stick like object to swirl in colors, do not over mix or you will have a blob on one color instead of the kalidescope of color you will be looking for.

Place the paper  rough side down.   I prefer the watercolor paper, but either will work.  The thicker the paper the better.  Also, don't get the shiny smooth kind of paper - The colors will not soak in and when you wipe off the shaving cream the colors will smear.

Immediately pull paper up and make all areas are covered.  Keep covering until the paper is completely covered.

Begin wiping off the shaving cream with the papertowels, this will take several pieces to get it all off.

Here are several we did on the same day, with different color inks.
